Probe under way:Six persons were injured in the incident that took place near RMC Gate in Srirangapatna on Wednesday.

Six persons, including three City Armed Reserve (CAR) constables from Bengaluru, were injured after a collision between the escort vehicle of H.M. Revanna, MLC, and a motorcycle on the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway, near RMC Gate in Srirangapatna in the district late on Wednesday.

The escort vehicle was on its way from Mysuru to Bengaluru when the accident occurred. The jeep overturned injuring the three CAR constables and the three on the bike. The driver of the police vehicle, in his complaint, said that the rider of the two-wheeler appeared suddenly on the road. The police have booked a case against the rider under Sections 279, 337 of the IPC, and some sections of the Indian Motor Vehicles Act. The police have seized both vehicles and are investigating the case.
