A minor girl was raped allegedly by her uncle at Mona Shankar Tanda in Aurad taluk on Thursday evening. The police said that the accused has been arrested. The police said the incident occurred when the man and his seven-year-old niece had gone out to graze goats.
A case has been registered at the Santpur police station. The victim, who suffered injuries, is in the Bidar district government hospital. Doctors said that she was recovering.
