A day after KPCC president G. Parameshwara’s complaint about poor turnout of Ministers at the party’s meeting on Tuesday, a few Ministers lined up to meet AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka K.C. Venugopal here to explain the reasons for their absence.

Ministers H. Anjaneya, K.R. Ramesh Kumar and Priyank Kharge called on Mr. Venugopal at the Kumarakrupa guest house on Wednesday, after the AICC leader cracked the whip, saying that leaders should give up their jobs if they are not interested in party work, sources in the Congress said.

On Tuesday, Dr. Parameshwara complained to the AICC leader that several Ministers were not showing interest in party programmes and functions and this had sent a wrong message to party workers.
