Minister for Sericulture and Animal Husbandry A. Manju, on Saturday, termed ‘baseless’ the allegations made by JD(S) leaders against him on the KAS officer’s suicide bid.

JD(S) leader Revanna had made the allegations as he was frustrated on not getting any position for his family members, Mr. Manju told presspersons. He was speaking after visiting the hospital where KAS officer E. Vijaya was admitted.

‘Politically motivated’

Mr. Revanna had alleged that the Minister was responsible for the officer’s suicide bid, and had demanded his resignation, besides a FIR against him.

“I wish Mr. Revanna recalls what he had said about the officer a few days ago. The allegations are politically motivated,” Mr. Manju said.
