MIMS to conduct dental camps at slums

The State-run Mandya Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS) has decided to conduct free dental camps at slums across the district.

The autonomous medical college celebrated World Dental Doctors Day at Tamil Colony slum here on Friday.

Pushpa Sarkar, MIMS Director, addressed the residents and highlighted the importance of oral and dental health care during the celebrations.

“We have decided to create awareness about dental health care at slums by conducting free camps”, Ms. Sarkar told The Hindu .

Ms. Sarkar, H.S. Shivakumar Swamy, a senior dentist at MIMS, and others distributed dental care kits to several Tamil Colony residents who attended the programme.
