Students of the Manchester Metropolitan University have organised a peace procession there on Sunday seeking information about Souvik Pal, the product design student of the university who disappeared from a nightclub on New Year’s Eve there.

Shantanu Pal, father of the 19-year-old Bangalore boy, who will lead the march, has also appealed to football fans during the Manchester vs. Liverpool match to disseminate information about his son.

Meanwhile, the Pal family, which wrote to the Karnataka government seeking its intervention, was assured that their request had been forwarded to the Union government with the recommendation to pressure the Manchester administration and the police to intensify the search.

“We have made all efforts. I am knocking on everyone’s door just to get some news about my son,” said Souvik’s mother, Mahuya, here.
