A man was washed away after a tank breached following heavy rain in Arkalgud taluk on Sunday morning. According to the police, Raghavendra (33) of Hanagal near Belavadi was caught in the gushing waters of the breached Hanagal tank while on his way to a milk collecting point on his motorbike carrying milk cans. The rider and the motorbike were washed away.

As news reached the police, the police and the Fire and Emergency Services personnel reached the village. The motorbike was traced by afternoon and the body was found in the evening. K.P. Eshwarappa, Arkalgud tahsildar, and other officers supervised the operations. Konanur police have registered a case.
