Man sentenced to three-year imprisonment

The Principal District and Sessions Court here sentenced a person accused of sexual assaulting on his minor daughter, to three years’ imprisonment.

The victim’s mother had lodged a complaint with the Shivamogga women police in November 2013 that her husband Basavaraj, resident of Vidya Nagar locality here, had sexually assaulted her daughter.

The complainant had said that she was away from the house, when the incident took place. . Meanwhile, the Principal District and Sessions judge Sharashchandra Angadi has awarded three-year imprisonment and .

The judge has also slapped Rs. 50,000 fine on him.
