Malavalli gets 1,100 houses under Basava scheme

The State government has allocated 1,100 houses to Malavalli taluk in the district, under the Basava Vasati Yojane (housing scheme) for 2017-18.

B.S. Shivanna, general secretary, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee, in a release here on Friday said that the process of identifying the beneficiaries and implementing the scheme will be commenced soon.

A request was placed before Housing Minister M. Krishnappa to allocate more houses for all 32 gram panchayats of Malavalli taluk. Mr. Krishnappa, who is also the district in-charge, accepted the request and allocated 1,100 houses for the current year, the release stated.

Mr. Shivanna, who is also the president of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya Vichara Vedike, thanked the State government for the allocation.
