Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti Yuva Manch has condemned Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrakanth Patil for singing a Kannada song at a religious programme in Tavag village in Gokak taluk on Sunday.

A team of Yuva Manch leaders left Belagavi for Kolhapur to protest in front of Mr. Patil’s residence there. They said that they were offended by the Minister’s audacity and would protest against it.

They said that they will work with pro-Marathi groups in Maharashtra and teach a lesson to Mr. Patil in the next Assembly elections.

They gathered at the Shivaji Udyan before leaving here for Kolhapur. The city police were deputed to the park as a precautionary measure.
