Madhusudhan’s remarks spark off controversy

Controversy is brewing in the city over the alleged disparaging remarks against the Constitution by the former BJP MLC, G. Madhusudhan.

Various Dalit organisations have unanimously condemned the alleged disparaging remarks of the BJP leader and the Pragatipara Sanghatanegala Okkoota and others have called for a “Mysuru bandh” on Wednesday. The Progressive Organisations Federation and the Samvidhana Surakshana Horata Samithi has also called for the arrest of Mr. Madhusudhan and flayed his views.

The organisations have stated in a release that Mr. Madhusudhan has been consistently making snide remarks against the Constitution and the latest incident was during a television channel interview aired on November 11.

Meanwhile, the Dalit Students Federation of the University of Mysore, has called for “expelling” the BJP leader for his outrageous remarks against the Constitution.

Recently, the members of the Mysuru Bar Association staged a protest and boycotted the court proceedings seeking legal action against the former BJP MLC.
