Lokayukta police unearth unaccounted for wealth

The Lokayukta police raided the residences of the Kalaburagi district manager of the Minorities Development Corporation and the Bidar district president of the State Government Employees Association and his relatives on Saturday and recovered wealth disproportionate to their known sources of income.

Unaccounted for property worth over Rs. 1.5 crore was unearthed from the residence of Shivasangappa Kumsi, district manager of the Minorities Development Corporation in Kalaburagi. Mr. Kumsi was not present when the house was raided in the morning. The Lokayukta police conducted simultaneous raids on the residence and office of Rajendra Kumar Gandagi, Bidar district president of the State Government Employees Association, and his relatives and unearthed unaccounted wealth.

Besides seizing Rs. 8.9 lakh in cash the Lokayukta police seized 283 grams of gold ornaments, 113 grams of silver articles, a sports utility vehicle, and a high-end motor cycle.
