Minister for Public Works and district in-charge H.C. Mahadevappa launched the redesigned logo and official website for Dasara (www.mysoredasara.gov.in) here on Friday.
Of the 160 logos sent by people from across the State, the committee shortlisted 10 and finalised the one designed by Lokesh Ravadi of Adi Creations, Bengaluru. The logo has a blue background to mark the theme of Dasara, which is water conservation.
Mr. Mahadevappa told presspersons that Dot Angle prepared the website this year too. He said the website features date-wise listings of the Dasara festival, besides venue details.
He said the district administration had sought Rs. 14.25 crore to conduct the 11-day festival and the State government may sanction over Rs. 14 crore.
The Minister said that Gajapayana, signalling the march of the caparisoned elephants from the jungle camps to Mysuru, will be inaugurated on Sunday at Nagapura on the outskirts of Nagarahole in Hunsur taluk.
