Land to be handed over to HAL for helicopter manufacturing

MP S.P.Muddahanumegowda said the process of handing over the land at Bidarehalla Kaval in Gubbi taluk in the district by the Tumkur district administration to HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) is on and will be handed over shortly.

After visiting Bidarehalla Kaval where a helicopter manufacturing unit of HAL will be established, Mr. Muddahanumegowda told presspersons that the helicopter manufacturing unit will come up in 610 acres of land at Bidarehalla Kaval at an estimated cost of Rs. 4,000 crores.

The helicopters manufactured in this unit will be delivered to army and air force.

He said more than 2,500 people will get jobs in this unit. The project report is being prepared.

He said a letter had been written to BESCOM (Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited) to shift the three high tension power lines in the area where the unit is going to be set-up.

He was accompanied by former director of HAL, Mallikarjunaswamy and other officials.
