H.D. Kumaraswamy, Floor Leader of Janata Dal (Secular) in the Legislative Assembly, described the budget as “immature and lacklustre”. He said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which had raised the hopes of people, especially youth in the run-up to the recent parliamentary elections, had disappointed them by offering a ‘directionless’ budget. He said he was disappointed with the budget as it has not offered any specific programme for creation of employment, which was a dream of the youth in the country.
