Kumar Banashankari Manasa

Kumar Banashankari Manasa, a student of 10th Standard at Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2 here, has topped the Belagavi division in the annual examination in Carnatic classical music and dance for senior category conducted by the Karnataka Higher Education and Secondary Board for 2014-15, the results of which were declared recently.

Manasa gave an excellent performance and secured 90.3 per cent in the examination.

She has been learning Carnatic classical music under Vidushi Bhat, even as she received initial guidance from her mother Shobha R. Banashankari, according to a press release issued here on Thursday.
