A lady conductor working with KSRTC Malur depot in Kolar district has charged two of the vigilance squad officials of misbehaviour and sexual abuse. She filed a complaint with the Malur police in this connection.

According to the complaint, central vigilance squad staff S.C. Kantharaju and A.R. Kumar stopped the bus she was on near Kudiyanur on Thursday afternoon when it was travelling from D.N. Doddi to Malur.

Observing some discrepancies in the ticket issued to passengers, the squad staff said they would file a case against the conductor.

However, the conductor claimed, the squad staff offered to drop the case if she cooperated with them and asked for her cellphone number.

After the bus reached Malur and proceeded towards toward Bangarpet on the return trip in the evening, the same squad members stopped the bus and allegedly misbehaved with her on pretext of picking the trip sheet from her shirt pocket.

A case was registered against the squad staff for misbehaviour with women staff and under the provisions of sexual harassment, Malur sub-inspector of police R. Dayanand told The Hindu .
