‘KSP keen to take literary activities to villages’

District unit of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat (KSP) has organised a two-day workshop on Kannada literature at Nagarakudige, a village in Hosanagar taluk, from April 25, its president D. Manjunath has said.

The parishat was keen to take literary activities to rural areas. Therefore, it had organised the workshop at Nagarakudige.

The parishat would organise more such programmes in rural areas in the coming days, Mr. Manjunath said at a press conference on Thursday.

Chairman of the Kannada Book Authority Banjagere Jayaprakash will inaugurate the workshop. Member of the authority Rajashekhar Hathagundi and president of Hosanagar Town Panchayat H.N. Sripathi Rao will participate in the inaugural function.

On April 26, writers Vasudendra and Bhanu Mushtaq would have an interactive session with the audience in the morning.
