The former Chief Minister S.M. Krishna and his wife visited Narasareddy Bheemreddy, an astrologer, in Bidar on Sunday.

Mr. Krishna arrived at the Bidar Air Force Station by a special plane from Bengaluru.

The couple went to Mr. Reddy’s residence on Mailoor Road. Then, the three of them left for the Samadhi of Shambhulingeshwar and Basamma at Rekulagi village in Humnabad taluk.

Congress leaders, including MLC Vijay Singh, and backward classes leader B. Narayan Rao, were present.

Congress leaders said this was Mr. Krishna’s personal visit and had had no political significance.

In the past, the family members of President Pranab Mukherjee have visited the Samadhi, along with Mr. Reddy. Earlier, as Defence Minister, Mr. Mukherjee had visited Rekulagi with Mr. Reddy.
