Krishna award: Nariman authorised to make statement

Minister for Water Resources M.B. Patil on Saturday said the State government had authorised senior counsel F.S. Nariman to make a statement before the Supreme Court in its next hearing on the question of gazetting the Brijesh Kumar Tribunal award on the Krishna water B scheme as requested by the Maharashtra government through an interim appeal.

After attending a meeting of floor leaders of the State legislature chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on the issue, the Minister told presspersons that the Supreme Court had given four weeks’ time to the four States, including Karnataka, to make their stand clear on gazetting the award.
