Kota SI resigns, but senior convinces him to return

Sub-Inspector of Kota police H.D. Kabbalraj resigned from his post citing personal reasons, even as there were rumours that he had done so following “harassment” from higher officials. According to the police, Mr. Kabbalraj wrote to the IGP (Western Range) citing personal reasons behind the move.

Later in the day, Superintendent of Police K.T. Balakrishna told The Hindu that he had counselled Mr. Kabbalraj over telephone. “He will join duty in a day or two. Deputy Superintendent of Police Kumaraswamy also met Mr. Kabbalraj at Bantwal in Dakshina Kannada and spoke to him,” he said.

Mr. Kabbalraj had put in his papers a year ago too, but was dissuaded after he was counselled.
