S. Murthy, Secretary (in charge), Karnataka Legislative Assembly, has sought a report from Subhash Chandra Khuntia, Chief Secretary to the government, about the steps taken by the government to carry out the Legislative Assembly’s resolution imposing a one-year prison sentence and ₹ 10,000 fine on the editors of two tabloids.

The Assembly had passed the resolution against Ravi Belagere, editor of Hai Bangalore, and Anil Raj, editor and publisher of Yelahanka Voice , for breach of privilege.

Mr. Murthy has stated in a letter to the Chief Secretary that a report will have to be submitted personally by Mr. Khuntia on Wednesday to him.
