Over four years of work came to an end on Thursday when members of the Karnataka Knowledge Commission (Karnataka Jnana Ayoga) handed over research publications and accounts to the State government.
M.K. Sridhar, member-secretary and executive director of the commission, told The Hindu that 48 publications, 14 projects, 11 research studies and 31 studies, in all, were formally handed over to the government.
This includes all the work that the commission has carried out since its establishment on September 5, 2008, under the chairmanship of space scientist and Planning Commission member K. Kasturirangan.
Tenure
The commission’s tenure was meant to last till June 30 this year. However, the commission decided to wind up by February-end.
