The activists offered flowers to the ‘samadhis’ of soldiers B.K. Sudhir and G. Sharath, who died during the war, at the park. As a mark of respect, two minutes silence was observed.

Mr. Krishnegowda has called upon the youth to honour the soldiers who gave away their lives to protect the country from intruders.

“Every individual should feel proud of our soldiers who are protecting the country,” he said. S. Narayan, Yoganna, Basavaraju, Ramegowda, Umesh, Divyakumar and some other members of the organisation, and the people from different walks of life gathered to pay floral tributes to martyrs of the Kargil War.
