Kannada film fest to begin on Thursday

Preparations are almost complete for the 9-day Kannada Film Festival commencing at Belagavi on Thursday.

 

Being organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations, the film fest aims at creating interest among the public in Kannada films, particularly award winning films in this part of the State.

Six award winning films would be screened in different cinema theatres in the city during the fest, which would conclude on Feb.27.

The entry would be free for all, according to deputy director of the organising department Basavaraj Kambi.

 

The films to be screened are “Ingale Marga”, “Bharat Stores”, “Tallana”, Kumaravatara”, “Allide Summane, Illi Bande Summane” and “Prasada”. The films would be screened in Nartaki, Swaroop, Chitra and Prakash talkies.

All the shows would be screened 8-30 a.m. during the fest.
