The Regional Provident Fund office in Kalaburagi has achieved the highest collection of arrears of nearly Rs 6.07 Crores during 2014-15, which was the highest among all the five regional offices in Karnataka and Goa.
Addressing a joint press conference in Kalaburagi Regional Provident Fund Commissioners office, Maruti Bhoyi, R.V. Alavandikar and Assistant Commissioner Riteshkumar Soni said that the collection of the arrears in the 14 districts coming under the Kalaburagi Regional Office was highest when compared to the collection of arrears by the regional offices in Bengaluru, Peenya in Bengaluru, Mangaluru and Goa.
The regional office here has jurisdiction of three districts in the sub-regional office of Kalaburagi, three districts coming under Ballari, five districts coming under Hubballi and three districts under the office of Raichur.
Mr. Bhoyi said that after the streamlining of the functioning of the PF offices in the country and introducing the online settlement of accounts, the settlement of claims and settlement of death claims had become less cumbersome and while the settlement of the accounts is done within 20 days after submission of the required forms by the employees and employers, the settlement of death claims was done within seven days.
The Kalaburagi office had settled nearly 768 death claims within seven days.
He said that the monthly pension as disbursed to the bank accounts of the pensioners on the first working day of bank throughout the year and the Kalaburagi office disbursed a total monthly pension of Rs. 142.52 crores.
To a question, Mr. Bhoyi said that there were no pending application for the revision of pension and pension of 15,161 accounts were revised.
