Kalaburagi records highest temperature

There was no respite from severe heat wave conditions for the people of Hyderabad-Karnataka and Bombay-Karnataka regions on Sunday with the day temperatures remaining above normal in a majority of places. According to Indian Meteorological Department, Kalaburagi recorded the state’s highest maximum temperature of 43 degrees Celsius on Saturday, while Raichur recorded maximum temperature of 42.4 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature recorded in Kalaburagi was two degrees Celsius more than the temperature recorded on the same day last year. Vijayapura recorded a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, whereas Bidar recorded a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius.

Belagavi airport, Haveri, Gadag and Chitradurga recorded an identical maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius. Dharwad and Belagavi city recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius.

Night temperature also continued to be oppressive in Hyderabad Karnataka region with Kalaburagi recording a high minimum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. It was 27 degrees Celsius in Vijayapura, while Bidar and Raichur both recorded 26 degrees Celsius.
