Hyderabad Karnataka and parts of Mumbai Karnataka and Central Karnataka region continued to reel under a severe heat wave with the mercury breaching the 42.1 degrees Celsius mark in Kalaburagi as per observations recorded by the India Meteorological Department at 8.30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Raichur recorded the State’s highest minimum temperature with 27.1 degree Celsius.

Sources in the department told The Hindu here that the State’s maximum temperature of 42.1 degrees Celsius was recorded in Kalaburagi.

The temperature recorded in Vijayapura was 40 degrees Celsius.

It was 39.5 degrees Celsius in Raichur and Koppal districts. Ballari and Bagalkot also recorded an identical temperature of 39 degrees Celsius.

Dharwad recorded 38.5 degrees Celsius and Gadag also continued to be under a heat wave spell with a maximum temperature of 38.3 degrees Celsius.
