July 19, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:56 am IST - YADGIR:

A week-long campaign ‘Kala Jatha’ to create awareness about government programmes was inaugurated by Manoj Jain, Deputy Commissioner, in Yadgir on Monday.

It saw performances by local artists that included street dramas, singing and other cultural activities to create awareness about the benefits of programmes such as Anna Bhagya, Ksheera Bhagya, Manaswini, Vidhyasiri, Krishi Bhagya and other schemes. Mr. Jain said the State government had introduced many pro-people programmes that required wide propaganda. Authorities aim to reach 40 villages in three taluks of the district.
