Union Minister for Law and Justice M. Veerappa Moily on Tuesday said the process of implementing the proposed judicial reforms would begin in November.
The roadmap for judicial reforms would be given final touches at a national consultative meeting of legal luminaries and judges scheduled to be held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on October 23 and 24, Mr. Moily told presspersons after participating in the 149th birth anniversary celebrations of Sir M. Visvesvaraya at his birthplace Muddenahalli near here.
Three high-level consultative meetings of judges, jurists and lawyers and all Chief Ministers were held in August to give shape to the reforms.
Ambitious project
The Prime Minister would launch the Centre’s ambitious project of establishing rural courts on October 2 at a function to be held in Chickballapur.
