The Narasimha Jharni cave temple that has remained closed since January, was opened for devotees on the occasion of Narasimha Jayanti on Friday. Devotees were allowed to visit the sanctum sanctorum by wading through three feet of water in the cave. Various rituals, including ‘Varun Havan’ and ‘Narayan Kavach Havan’ were conducted. Believers from Hyderabad distributed free lunch. Tahsildar Lakshman Rao, temple executive officer Kishor Joshi and others were present.
