Janata Dal (Secular) State president A. Krishnappa has said that the JD(S) will win 15 to 18 seats in the Lok Sabha polls and will make pre-poll alliance with Left parties in two to three seats.

He was inaugurating a conference of the district unit of the party’s youth wing here on Sunday. Mr. Krishnappa asked Chief Minister Siddaramaiah if he would quit politics or seek a public apology if the JD(S) wins more seats in the Lok Sabha polls.

Statement

Earlier, Mr. Siddaramaiah had said that JD(S) would not win more number of seats in the Lok Sabha polls.

He said the Bharatiya Janata Party’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was unfit to become the Prime Minister. Mr. Krishnappa asked Mr. Siddaramaiah to bring down the retirement age of government employees to 58 to benefit unemployed youths instead of implementing Annabhagya scheme.
