Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed confidence of Satish Jarkiholi “changing his decision of quitting the State cabinet” in the next few hours.

Addressing the media persons at Sir M. Visvesvaraya District Stadium here on Wednesday, Mr. Siddaramaiah said that Mr. Jarkiholi will continue as minister in his government.

“I have asked Mr. Satish to meet me. He will meet me in Bengaluru tonight. I will discuss with him and everything will be stable by tomorrow morning,” he said.

Mr. Siddaramaiah has also said that his government is safe and no anti-party activities exist in the Congress.

Reacting to a query, Mr. Siddaramaiah said: “No ministers will tender resignations to their posts. News of five ministers submitting resignations to the cabinet are just rumours. These speculative news are created by the media.”

However, his interaction with the media lasted for less than a minute.

Earlier, he inaugurated the State-level sports-meet for government employees for 2014-15 at the stadium.
