Expressing the confidence that the BJP will come to power, the former Minister, G. Janardhan Reddy, has said that he would not contest the next Assembly elections.
He was speaking to presspersons at Maski town in Lingsugur taluk of Raichur district on Monday.
Mr. Reddy, who was here to attend a programme to mark Hemareddy Mallamma’s birth anniversary said, “I have decided not to contest the elections and keep away from electoral politics.”
He said BJP State president B.S. Yeddyurappa is the party’s Chief Ministerial candidate and therefore, he would work for him as a common party worker, helping the BJP to achieve success in its “Mission 150”.
