Former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy was denied bail by a court of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) cases on Friday in connection with the bail scam involving him. Barring him and rowdy-sheeter Yadagiri Rao, all others booked in the two cases related to the scam had already been released on bail. The court dismissed Mr. Janardhan Reddy’s bail application on the ground that he was the beneficiary of the scam and an amount of Rs. 9.5 crore which was pooled for the purpose could not have been done without his knowledge.

Meanwhile, the CBI court at Bangalore extended his judicial remand after holding a videoconference with him from Chanchalguda central jail here till November 3. Mr. Janardhan Reddy was till recently lodged in Bangalore central prison in connection with a case against Associated Mining Company.
