‘It’s difficult to stop Gollas from following age-old customs’

H. Anjaneya, Minister for Social Welfare, has said that it is difficult to put an end to certain customs, even if they appear to be inhuman, being followed by the people belonging to the Golla community, through law. “Transformation is possible through constant awareness programmes,” he said after visiting Byadaravalli Gollarahatti in Arsikere taluk on Sunday. “People belonging to the Golla community have been following this custom for many generations,” he said.
