State president of the Bharatiya Janata Party B.S. Yeddyurappa has expressed dissatisfaction over Chandrasekhar Patil appealing to people to vote a secular national party during the inauguration of the 83rd Akhila Bharat Sahitya Sammelana.

He was talking to reporters at Lingsugur town in Raichur on Sunday. Mr. Yeddyurappa, who was here to attend a mass marriage function organised by Manappa Vajjal, MLA, said that it was the first time that the president of sahitya sammelan had made a political statement. “Mr. Patil was not supposed to make such a statement,” he added.

The BJP State president also condemned the statement of progressive thinker K.S. Bhagawan about Sri Ram during the sahitya sammelan.

Mr. Yeddyurappa said that the party would launch an agitation against Ministers K.J. George and Vinay Kulkarni, from Monday demanding their resignation.

“I will participate in the agitation in Vijayapura on Monday,” he added.
