Islamic expo begins today

Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has organised a nine-day exhibition titled ‘Harmony Islamic Expo 2015’ at the Karnataka Sangha in the city from April 22 to 30, said its district unit convener M. Abdul Wahab.

The objective of the exhibition is to promote social harmony. Besides a book exhibition, there will be discourses by Islamic scholars on Quran as part of the event, Mr. Wahab told presspersons here on Tuesday.

Sanehalli mutt seer Panditaradhya Shivacharya Swami will inaugurate the exhibition on April 22 at 7.30 p.m.

A women’s convention will be held on April 24 and a students’ convention on April 25.

Exhibition is open for public from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
