A large number of devotees attended the Sri Krishna Balarama Ratha Yatra organised by ISKCON here on Saturday. The yatra was attended by local MLA M.K. Somashekar, G. Madhusudhan, MLC, and Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, the scion of the Wadiyar family.

The ratha yatra was flagged off from the Kote Anjaneyaswamy temple at Palace Gate north and passed through the Gandhi Square, Sayyaji Rao Road, Clock Tower, Devaraja Urs Road, Narayana Shastri Road, and other main thoroughfares of the city. The 35-feet tall ratha carrying the idols of deities Krishna and Balarama, was drawn by the devotees.

The organisers said the annual ratha yatra festival of ISKCON is held in all major cities of the world including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.
