Income Tax officials raided the residence of North-East Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NEKRTC) chairman Mohammad Iliyas Bhagban at M.S.K. Mill locality here on Wednesday. A 12-member team of Income Tax sleuths from Belagavi arrived at Bhagban’s house located near Hussaini Garden in the morning and scrutinised several documents. The officials also swooped down on the cold storage, his office at the commercial complex and a petrol bunk owned by him. The officials, who were part of the raiding teams, were tight-lipped and all attempts to speak to them evoked no response.
