Investigations into the blast in the toilet complex at the Mysuru city court complex continued on Wednesday with a team of officials from the Intelligence Bureau (IB) arriving from New Delhi. The five-member team gathered samples from the scene of the blast and interacted with local police officials.
This follows a visit by a four-member National Investigation Agency (NIA) team, besides police officials from Kerala, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
A senior police official said the NIA and IB officials will be guiding police officials tasked with the investigation into the blast. The Lakshmipuram police in Mysuru city, which has registered the case, will continue its investigation with guidance from the central security agencies, sources said.
Police teams from various States have come to study the blast site and look for similarities in the explosions that had taken place in their areas.
Advocates resume work
Meanwhile, advocates who had boycotted court proceedings on Tuesday condemning the explosion, returned to work on Wednesday. They had pressed for heightening security inside the court complex.
The City Police deployed personnel at the entrance to frisk visitors. A door frame metal detector and hand-held metal detectors were used.
