“If I get an opportunity, I will opt to study abroad. However, after studies, I want to come back and serve my country,” said B.S. Ranjan, the student of Poornapajna Education Centre at Bhadravathi who scored 625 out of 625 in the SSLC examination.

In a web chat with readers of The Hindu, he faced a volley of questions in an interactive session… right from how he prepared for the examination, the importance of time management, his future plans and goals to whether he would opt for civil services.

To a query on the present education system, he said that the process of examination and evaluation needed to be made foolproof. He also opined that the donation menace should end and quality education should be accessible to all.

Readers from Singapore, France and Australia took part in the interaction, where several congratulatory messages poured in.
