History-sheeter’s murder: eight held in Gulbarga

The police have arrested all eight persons involved in the murder of the history-sheeter and alleged arms dealer Ravi Bairamadagi and the attack on Srinivas, another history-sheeter, in Gulbarga on Friday.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Udaykumar Bevinmarad, who produced all the eight persons allegedly belonging to the gangs of Bairamadagi and Srinivas, said all of them were arrested in Gulbarga on Sunday. The police have also recovered three country-made revolvers, six live cartridges and other weapons from those arrested.

The arrested persons have been identified as Prakash Vatari (18), Eashwar Mudabi (19), Anand Bijapur (19), Preetish Noolkar (18), Sudhir Hallikhed (19) and Sharanu alias Devaru (18) allegedly belonging to Srinivas’s gang and Srishail Charpalli (28) and Devendrappa Kejadgi (25), who, the police said, belonged to Bairamadagi’s gang.

All the arrested have been remanded in judicial custody.
