Health Minister makes surprise visit to hospitals

U.T. Khader's move to learn about the quality of services being extended to the patients.

U.T. Khader, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, made surprise visits to the government hospitals in Maddur and Ramanagaram on Saturday to learn about the quality of services being extended to the patients.

Mr. Khader, while heading to Bengaluru from Mysuru, visited the Government Hospital in Maddur and expressed displeasure over the irregularities at the hospital. He also interacted with the patients and their relatives. According to sources, he instructed the officials concerned to utilise the government funds and facilities to improve the quality of services being provided.

Mr. Khader visited most of the sections at the hospitals in Ramanagaram town in Ramanagaram.

He also inspected the attendance register and later asked the doctors concerned to ensure that the hospital provides better services to patients.

Officials from the Health and Family Welfare Department were present.
