The freestyle football demo by Brazilian player Adonias Fonseca at National Education Society Ground on Friday drew tremendous response.

Mr. Fonseca, who has performed on Rede Globo and other television channels, presented various tricks including the toe bounce and crossover. The breathtaking upper-body juggling tricks were greeted with applause.

Friendly match

Mr. Fonseca played a friendly soccer match with students from various colleges. He told presspersons that practising sports and physical exercises was necessary to maintain health and fitness, and that freestyle football was a sports as well as an art and could be perfected only through persistent practise.

The programme was organised by Nanjappa Lifecare, a medical establishment to create health awareness among youths.

Other performers

Julian Marsala from France enthralled the audience by presenting various tricks with the skateboard, and Shadab, a stunt-biker, also performed. Later in the day, Mr. Fonseca gave a presentation on freestyle football at Gopi Circle.
