Harsh Gupta on Friday assumed charge as the Regional Commissioner of Kalaburagi Revenue Division.
He took over from outgoing Regional Commissioner Amlan Aditya Biswas, who has been transferred and appointed as Labour Secretary.
Mr. Gupta had earlier served as Deputy Commissioner of Bidar, Shivamogga and Chamarajanagar districts and recently served as Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department.
A 1997 Karnataka Batch IAS officer, Mr. Gupta will also be heading Hyderabad Karnataka Region Development Board (HKRDB) as its Secretary.
The outgoing Regional Commissioner [Amlan Aditya Biswas], who had a three-year tenure as Regional Commissioner of Kalaburagi Division, thanked the people of the division for their support and expressed his gratitude to the staff of the district administration.
