The Hyderabad Karnataka Yuva Horata Samiti (HKYHS) and Pratyaka Rajya Horata Samiti (PRHS) have extended their support to the demand made by Congress MLA A.S. Patil Nadahalli representing Devar Hippargi Assembly Constituency in Vijayapura for a separate statehood for north Karnataka. Members of both the organisations led by Raju Kulageri of the HKYHS and M.S. Patil Naribol of the PRHS, who staged a protest here on Tuesday, condemned the attempts of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the Congress to stifle the voice of protest by Mr. Nadahalli, by threatening disciplinary action against him. They said that there was nothing wrong in making a demand for a separate Statehood, since successive governments in the State had neglected the north Karnataka.
