Graduation Day held; 571 students received degrees

A total of 571 students received their degrees during the fifth Graduation Day function held at the Government College (Autonomous) on Bengaluru-Mysuru highway here on Sunday.

Commissioner for Collegiate Education B.G. Nanda Kumar gave away the degree certificates to students who completed BA (182 students), BBM (101), B.Com (51), B.Sc. (103), BCA (24), MA – Political Science (28), M.Sc. – Physics (22) and M.Com (54 students).

Positive attitude will help students to develop self-confidence, Mr. Nanda Kumar, addressing the students, said.

K. Shankarappa, Collegiate Education Department director and Chief Administrative Officer, said that the department has requested the State government to provide building and other infrastructure to autonomous colleges.

Joint Director D. Krishnegowda, Principal N. Subrahmanya, Deen H.R. Sripad, Assistant Proffesor Srilatha and others were present.
