Govt. officer dies for want of treatment

Gyanappa Badnal (56), Panchayat Development Officer of Valaballari Gram Panchayat in Gangavati taluk, died on Tuesday reportedly for want of treatment because of the ongoing protest by private doctors.

This is the second such incident that has occurred in the Hyderabad Karnataka region, after the November 3 protest by private doctors against the State government move to bring in then amendment.

According to information reaching here, Gyanappa Badnal complained of chest pain and was rushed to Gangavati for treatment. As the doctors were on protest, he could not get treatment and breathed his last, according to family sources.
