Governor hosts At Home

Dignitaries from various walks of life attended the At Home hosted by Governor H.R. Bhardwaj here on Wednesday to mark the Independence Day. Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, Minister for Home R. Ashok, Energy Minister Shobha Karandlaje, the former Governor V.S. Ramadevi, the former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, senior Congress leader Jaffer Sharief, MLC M.V. Rajasekharan, MLA N.L. Narendra Babu, Chief Secretary, S.V. Ranganath, several serving and retired Defence personnel took part in the function.

Mr. Jagadish Shettar and Mr. Yeddyurappa were extended traditional honours with Mysore Petas.

Uniformed personnel provided security to Mr. Bhardwaj and the Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar. The Raj Bhavan was fully spruced up for the occasion. Soothing music by the police band was a major attraction for the invitees, including those from the art, culture and sports fields.
